Snickerdoodle cookies are one of my favorite holiday cookies to make. They are easy to make and taste delicious. These cookies are wrapped in a delicious cinnamon sugar powder which creates an amazing, sweet covering. This Recipe is perfect for 2 large size trays which can feed the entire family. With a side of milk, these will easily become your favorite.
How to Make
Cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together in your mixing bowl.
Slowly, start adding your eggs and continue mixing
For the perfect Vanilla taste, add just a hint of Vanilla extract and mix till its well combined.
Add in your baking soda, lemon juice, salt, and cinnamon.
Once everything is well combined, add the flour. Adding the flour slowly will prevent large clumps from forming.
Put this batter to the side.
In a different mixing bowl, combine your sugar and cinnamon to create cinnamon sugar.
Using a spoon or your hands, create small medium sized portions of the cookie
Roll each ball in the sugar, then place them on a greased tray or a tray lightly lined with parchment paper.
Bake the cookies at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
These cookies are the perfect dessert for the holiday season. They are delicious and have the perfect blend of chewiness.
Extra Information:
If you don't want to make the cookies right away, you can freeze the dough in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Make sure to use all-purpose flour. Using bread flour may cause your cookies to become cakey and not taste as good.
The Lemon in the recipe helps to make the cookies chewier. You won't be able to taste it in the batter. However, you may leave it out if you don't feel comfortable in adding it.
