These lemon cookies are perfect for the summer time. With the lemony hint of the zest and the chewy texture of the dough, these have easily become one of my favorites. If you like lemons you're going to love these. These cookies pack a perfect lemon punch they're soft, chewy, and melt right into your mouth.
How To Make
Cream the sugar, zest of lemons, egg, and lemon juice together.
If you want, you can add a little bit of yellow food color to make it look more like lemon cookies.
Once everything is mixed properly, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix everything together using a spatula.
Using a spoon, make small round cookie shapes.
Place the balls into a greased tray.
Place them in an oven for 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 13 minutes.
Once out of the oven, roll the cookies in powdered sugar. Make sure the entire cookie is covered.
Extra Information:
You can leave the lemon zest out if you don't like it. However, lemon zest adds a better lemon flavor to it.
If your cookies are still under baked, you can put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes.
