Mini Apple Pie's

Updated: Nov 11, 2021

These mini apple pies are easy to make and taste delicious. I love the fact that the portions are small so you can eat them on the go. If you have bigger cupcake mold then you can even try those out. This recipe makes your whole house smell like thanksgiving.

How To Make

  1. In a mixing bowl, add your flour, sugar, and salt. Mix these dry ingredients until there are no clumps.

  2. Add in your shredded butter. Using your hands, mix the butter into the dry ingredients until a dough-like mixture is formed.

  3. Add in your water and mix it together. The dough should be easily molded together. Keep mixing until you see no visible clumps. Set aside.

  4. Place a rectangular piece of cling wrap on your surface. Place your dough on it and wrap it around.

  5. Refrigerate you're dough for 30 minutes.

  6. While your dough is in the fridge prepare your apples. Place your cubed apples in a sauce pan.

  7. Add in the juice of one lemon, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix these all together.

  8. Add in the salt and flour.

  9. Cover the sauce pan and let it sit for 5 minutes. This mixture should turn thick and start smelling like apple pie filling.

  10. Set this aside for now.

  11. Flour up your base and place the dough there. Also put some flour onto of the dough.

  12. Using a rolling pin, roll out your dough. It should look like a big rectangle.

  13. Using a cookie cutter, make round cuts in your dough. Place each dough piece in a cupcake mold. Repeat this step until almost al of your dough Is finished.

  14. Using a spoon, scoop some apple pie filling into the cupcake mold.

  15. With the remaining dough, cut straight, thing strips and put them onto of the apple pie filling. Make any pie design you'd like.

  16. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 Minutes.

These taste absolutely amazing and can be made by anyone. This has easily become a staple in our thanksgiving feast.

Extra Information:

  • If you like to experiment, you can change up the filling with other flavors such as cherry, peach.

  • Try changing up the design on top of the pie.

  • If your dough feels under-baked, keep it in the oven for an extra 5 minutes or until fully baked.

  • You can use a bigger or a smaller cupcake mold.
